• 1 Tbsp light butter
• 1 Tbsp. canola oil
• 1 large sweet onion, thinly sliced
• 2 tsp. garlic, minced
• 1 cup 2% cottage cheese
• ½ tsp. garlic powder
• ½ tsp. dried thyme
• 1 Tbsp honey

Directions:

1. In a pan set to medium heat, melt butter and oil. Add the sliced onions and sauté for about 10 minutes, stirring frequently until the onions have softened and caramelized. Add in the minced garlic for the last 2 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside to cool.
2. Using a food processor or blender, add the cottage cheese, garlic powder, thyme and honey. Whip until the cottage cheese is creamy. Transfer to a serving bowl.
3. Stir half of the onion mixture into the cottage cheese mixture. Top with remaining onions before serving.
