Ingredients: 1 LB GROUND ROUND or CHUCK 1/4 tsp salt 1/4 tsp cayene pepper 1 28oz jar your favorite spagetti sauce 1 14oz can stewed tomatoes 1 10oz package frozen chopped spinach, thawed & drained 1 15oz container ricotta cheese 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese 1 egg, slightly beaten 10 uncooked lasagne noodles 1&1/2 cups (6oz) shredded mozzarell cheese

Directions:Preheat oven to 375. In a large skillet cook the ground meat over medium heat for 8 to 10 minutes or until browned, drain. Add salt,pepper,spagetti sauce and tomatoes. Stir to blend well the set aside. In a medium size bowl combine the spinach,riccota & Parmesan cheeses add the egg and mix well. Spread 2 cups of the sauce over the bottom of a 9" x 13" lightly oiled baking dish. Place 4 of the noodles lengthwise over the sauce and 1 noodle over the end to cover the sauce. Press the noodles into the sauce. Spread the cheese & spinach mixture over the noodles. Then sprinkle evenly with 1 cup of the Mozzarella. Cover all that with 1-1/2 cups of the sauce, then arrange the remaining noodles over the sauce pressing them lighly into the sauce. Spread the remaining sauce over the noodles. Bake for 45 minutes. Remove from oven. Evenly sprinkle the remaining mozarella over the top, cover with aluminum foil and let sit at room temprature for about 15 minutes before cuting & serving. |
