2 cups flour
1/4 cup sugar
3 tea baking powder
1 tea salt
1/3 cup butter
1/4 cup currents
1/2 cup milk
2 eggs

Directions:
Directions:
stir together flour, sugar, baking powder and salt
cut in butter with pastry blender until it resembles course meal
stir in currents, add milk
add 1 egg plus yolk from second egg (save egg white)
mix together until moist. continued.....
turn out and knead on slightly floured board
roll out dough to 1/2 inch thick
brush with beaten egg white and sprinkle with sugar
cut out scones and bake on ungreased baking sheet at 425F for 12-15 minutes
