1 cup butter- no substitutes!
2/3 cup sugar
3 egg yolks - well beaten
1 tsp. almond extract
2 1/2 cups flour - measured after sifting
Assorted colored sugars

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and add sugar beating well. Add egg yolks, and almond flavoring. Lastly add flour gradually. Put through cookie press using traditional shapes. Decorate with colored sugars and bake at 350 degrees 10-12 min.

These cookies were always made by my mother at Christmas time. They are small and fancy and look great on that tray of assorted cookies.
Debbie and Barbara are now the family Spritz cookie makers.
If you've never used parchment paper on a cookie sheet - try it, it's great.
