1/2 c. butter
1 c. brown sugar
1 loaf thick bread
4 eggs
1 1/2 c. milk
1 t. vanilla

Melt butter in a pan on the stove, add sugar and stir until sugar is dissolved. Pour into 9x13 pan, spread. Beat together eggs, milk and vanilla. Lay bread in pan over the sugar mixture. Spoon 1/2 egg mix over the bread. Sprinkle with cinnamon. Add 2nd layer of bread and remaining egg mix. Sprinkle with cinnamon. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Bake at 350º, covered, for 30 minutes. Uncover and bake additional 15 minutes.
