Ingredients:

1 C Oleo
1/2 C Sugar
1 1/2 tsp Salt
2 1/2 C Scalded Milk
4 Egg Yolks, beaten
1 1/2 pkg Dry Yeast
1/2 C warm water to dissolve yeast
5 C Flour
Fruit fillings of your choice - cherry, prune, strawberry, apricot, poppyseed

Cream shortening, sugar & salt. Add scalded milk which has been cooled to lukewarm. Beat in egg yolks. Add yeast that has been dissolved in warm water. Add flour. Mix well and cover. Let rise 1 hour. Punch down and let rise again. Put on floured board. Roll out with rolling pin and cut with 2” cookie cutter. Let rest 5 minutes. Make indentations and fill with fruit of your choice. Let raise a little and bake at 400 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes.
