3 tablespoons butter or margarine
1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 cup half-and-half
1 cup chopped walnuts
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter in a heavy saucepan over low heat; add brown sugar. Cook 5 to 6 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat, and gradually stir in half-and-half. Return pan to heat, and cook for 1 minute. Remove from heat again; stir in walnuts and vanilla.

Yield: about 1-1/2 cups
