VARIATION
1/2 c coarse chopped pecans
1/4 c shredded coconut

Coconut rum or regular

SOAK the raisins in a simple syrup with rum for several hours stirring occasionally or overnight depending how plump you want your raisins. I made the syrup making sure the sugar was dissolved with the water. My syrup mix was 2/3 sugar to 1/3 water. Once it was dissolved I added the rum making it an approx. equal ratio of 1:1. The more rum the merrior says Mike. He added more rum.
