Grandma's Lemon Loaf Recipe

½ cup oil
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1½ tsp baking powder
¼ tsp salt
⅓ cup milk
1½ cup flour
1 cup blueberries

Topping:
¼ cup lemon juice
½ cup sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Beat together oil, sugar, and eggs until smooth. Stir in baking powder and salt. Alternately add milk and flour to the mixture. Gently fold in blueberries by hand. Bake in a loaf pan at 350°F for 1 hour. In a saucepan, cook the topping until the sugar dissolves. Drizzle over the loaf immediately after removing it from the oven.

During her final years, this became Grandma's favourite recipe. It is easy to prepare and evokes memories of the many berries she had picked throughout her life.
