Directions:
In a small bowl combine: 2 tsp. sugar, yeast, and 1/4 cup warm water. Set aside until bubbles appear.

In a separate bowl combine cooled milk, add shortening then 2 cups flour. Add eggs, sugar and salt. Beat with a mixer. Now add yeast mixture and mix together, add the rest of the flour except for 3 cups, mix thoroughly. Take a spoon and gradually add the rest of the flour.

When dough is mixed, put on a floured board and knead until it doesn`t stick to your fingers. Put dough back into bowl and rub Crisco over top of dough. Cover dough with a towel and let rise until about double in size.

When dough has risen, shape into desired size rolls placing on a baking sheet. Brush each roll with melted Crisco, cover again and let the rolls rise again.

Bake in a preheated 350º oven for 20-25 minutes. Brush Crisco on top of rolls when you take them out of the oven.
