Great for hot summer days, this frosty sipper marries the creamy coconut sweetness of a colada with the fresh lime and mint of a mojito. It's the perfect combination of rum and yum.

Not drinking alcohol? Hold the rum and enjoy this as a tasty coconut smoothie instead.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
When I met my father-in-law, Dr. John Gindhart, his drink of choice was a Martini, one day I offered to refill his martini, but I didn't know what was actually in a Martini, so I asked. He told me to make a Martini, put ice in a glass, fill it with vodka, and wave the Vermouth bottle over it, being careful not to spill any Vermouth into the glass, and then stir gently. WOW, how could anybody drink a Martini???

Now, 60+ years later my drink of choice is a Vodka Martini, but I like my Martini shaken, not stirred. However, unlike my father-in-law, I also enjoy flavored Martini's. Actually, I haven't found a Martini that I don't like, I guess my new nickname is "Grandma-tini", a Grandma who drinks Martini's.

The popularity of the martini rose thanks to James Bond, British Secret Service agent 007, who ordered his martini's to be "Shaken, Not Stirred". Shaken martinis tend to be lighter and more flavorful while stirred ones will be stronger with a simpler flavor profile, but it's a personal preference. Even the way it's mixed – shaken or stirred – is up to the individual. "The dilution and temperature should remain the same either way. What changes is the mouth feel. Do you want icy shards and tiny air bubbles in your cocktail, if so, Shaken is your style. Want a silky, smooth mouth feel, then I would recommend trying yours stirred." I prefer SHAKEN!
