3 cups potatoes, riced or mashed
1 tbsp sugar
1 tsp salt
5 tbsp shortening, melted
1 1/2 cup flour

Directions:
Directions:
Combined, potatoes, sugar, salt, and shortening. Gradually add flour. Shape into one and a half inch balls roll out onto flowered board until 1/8 inch thick. Heat on moderately hot griddle until bubbles and then turnover. You can butter one side sprinkled powdered sugar, or plain sugar on them, and roll them up to eat, they are delicious with your favorite warm, berry, or apple filling on top.
