"I have long believed that good food, good eating is all about risk. Whether we're talking about unpasteurized Stilton, raw oysters or working for organized crime 'associates,' food, for me, has always been an adventure."--Anthony Bourdain
This recipe for Nana Blomquist's Puff Ball Doughnuts, by Elsie Luis, is from For The Love Of Cooking,
one of the cookbooks created at FamilyCookbookProject.com. We help
families or individuals create heirloom cookbook treasures.
Mix all ingredients together. Add extra flour if needed to make sure batter is thick enough that a spoon will stand upright in it. Drop by spoonfuls into a kettle of hot oil. Fry until browned and roll in sugar if desired.
