1/2 C powdered sugar
1/3 C. cornstarch
2 envelopes unflavored gelatin
1 1/3 C granulated sugar
2/3 C. light corn syrup
1/2 C. crushed candy canes or mint candies
1/8 tsp. salt

Directions:
Sift together sugar and corn starch. ine 13x9x2 pan with foil and coat with nonstick cooking spray. Sift 2 Tblsp sugar mixture into pan, tilting to coat all sides and bottom. Place 2/3 C water in large bowl, sprinkle gelatin on top and let stand 5 minutes to soften.
In medium saucepan, heat sugar, corn syrup, candy cane pieces and salt over medium heat until dissolved, about 7 minutes. Strain into bowkl with the gelatin. Beat on high speed with mixer until light and fluffy, 10-15 minutes. Spread into prepared pan and smooth top. Dust top with 2 Tblsp sugar mixture. Let set for 2 hours. Lift from pan using foil to lift. Using wet kife, cut into 6 squares. Spread remaining sugar mixture on pan, invert marshmallow blocks onto sheet. Cut each square into 9 pieces. Toss marshmallows in sugar mixture and set in pan for another hour. Store loosely covered at room temperature.
