2 8oz. Package white mushrooms
2 tablespoons oil
1 cup pecorino Romano cheese
2 tablespoons garlic powder
¾ cup Italian breadcrumbs
Salt and pepper to taste

Directions:
Clean and cut mushrooms. Small and medium sized mushrooms can be cut into 4 quarters, larger mushrooms into 6 or 8 pieces. Pour oil into large saucepan and heat. Add mushrooms. Cook down until most water is released then pour out most of the water. Add breadcrumbs, cheese, garlic powder and salt and pepper. Cook until all water is absorbed and breadcrumbs have started to brown.

Our side of the family has been making this every thanksgiving for as long as I can remember. Aunt Lisa finally named it Grandma Tina’s unstuffed mushrooms. They really do taste just like them without all the work!
