4 cups flour
1 tbsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 cup butter or margerine
2 cups white sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla extract
2 tbsp. cream or milk
Directions:
Directions:
1. preheat oven to 375º F.
2. sift 3 cups flour, baking powder and salt.
3. in a seperate bowl, mix ("cream") together sugar, egg, vanilla and cream
4. stir in remaining flour until dough is stiff enough to roll out
5. chill dough covered in fridge until stiff (approx. 1 hour)
6. once chilled, clean and flour a flat surface
7. place and roll dough until about 1/8 an inch (approx. 1/3 centimeter) thick
8. cut dough into desired shapes with a floured cutter
9. place on parchment lined baking sheets
10. sprinkle with sugar
11. bake for approx. 8-10 mins (9 mins in 2006)
12. move to cooling trays
13. can serve plain or decorated with royal icing.
