Ingredients: 2 sticks butter softened 1/2 cup sugar 2 whole eggs 1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons whole milk divided 1 teaspoon vanilla 1 tablespoon baking powder 4 cups flour 2 1/2 cups of sesame seeds

Directions:* place softened butter and sugar in bowl and beat until smooth * with mixer on add one egg at a time, scrape bowl and mix again * add two tablespoons of millk, vanilla and mix *add baking powder and mix * with mixer on slowly add 3 1/2 cups flour. check consistency for softness and pliability but not sticky add more flour if needed *use remaining flour to dust your surface and knead your dough * cover dough and let it rest for 15 minutes * while dough s resting reheat oven 375 degrees and place oven rack in top shelf position * after restring pour 1/2 cup milk in a bowl and sesame seeds into another bowl * Using a one ounce scoop roll dough into balls. after rolling ball dip in milk then roll in sesame seeds and form into a rectangle 1/2-3/4 inch high * place on parchment paper put 18 cookies per sheet * Bake on top shelf for 15 minutes * remove cookies to a cooling rack with a pan underneath to catch seeds that may fall |
