2 pkgs. (16 squares) semi-sweet baking chocolate, divided
1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/4 cup butter or margarine
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 cup flour
1/4 tsp. baking powder
2 cups chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 350º. Coarsely chop 8 squares (1 pkg.) chocolate; set aside. Microwave the remaining 8 squares of chocolate in a large microwave-safe bowl on high for 1 - 2 minutes. Stir until the chocolate is melted and smooth. Stir in sugar, butter, eggs, and vanilla. Stir in flour and baking powder; stir in reserved chopped chocolate and nuts. Drop by 1/4 cupfuls onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 12 - 13 min. until cookies are puffed and feel set to the touch. Transfer to a wire rack and cool completely. Makes about 1-1/2 doz. Cookies.
