3 lb. stew meat
¼ c. onion, minced
¼ c. flour
1 tbsp. LeeinPerrin
¼ c. Crisco
1 c. tomato juice
1 c. water
salt and pepper
2 pkg. egg noodles

Directions:
Directions:
Salt & pepper the beef cubes and dredge with flour. Brown the cubes in the Crisco and as it browns, take it out and put in large pan. Put the onion in Crisco left in skillet and brown. Add meat sauce, tomato juice and water to onions when they are brown and let simmer for a few minutes. Then pour sauce over meat and cook slowly for about 1½-2 hours until meat is tender. Be sure and keep enough water on so it will not stick. You can keep adding enough if it cooks down. 20 minutes before you are ready to eat, add the noodles. They absorb lots of water so have enough in the pan. This recipe is in honor of my grandmother, Betty Jean Nicols. "My Grandma and Best Friend."
