½ lb. butter
2 cups sugar
3 eggs
4 cups (or more) flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 lb. ricotta cheese
2 tsp. almond extract
2 tsp. anise extract
powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
milk

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter, sugar and eggs. Sift flour, baking soda, and salt; add to creamed mixture. Add ricotta cheese, almond extract and anise extract. Roll into balls (dough will be sticky; put flour on hands). Bake on a greased cookie sheet at 350º for 12 to 15 minutes. When cool, frost with a mixture of powdered sugar, vanilla, milk and drops of anise extract.
