⅔ cup shortening
½ tsp vanilla
¼ tsp salt
¾ cup sugar
1 ¾ cup flour
4 tsp milk
1 egg
1 tsp baking powder

Directions:
Thoroughly cream shortening and sugar. Add egg; beat until mixture is light and fluffy. Add vanilla; mix in thoroughly. Add sifted dry ingredients together with milk. Chill 1 hour for ease in handling. Preheat oven to 375℉. Roll out dough into ⅛ in thickness. Cut into desired shapes. Arrange on greased cookie sheet. Bake 6-8 minutes or until done. Cool; frost as desired.
