1 cup butter
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
3 cups flour
1 tsp cream of tartar
1 tsp baking soda
2 TBSP cream
dash of salt
1 tsp almond extract

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and extract.

Mix salt, soda and cream of tartar with flour and gradually add to sugar mixture.

Chill dough at least 1 hour.

Roll on floured board to 1/4" thick and cut in desired shapes with cookie cutters. Sprinkle with colored sugars or bake without and frost and decorate later.

Bake at 375º for 10-12 minutes.
