2 bags Birdseye frozen pearl onions
3 TB butter
3 TB flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp white pepper
2 cups whole milk
1 cup half and half

Directions:
Directions:
Boil onions in salted water 7-8 minutes.

While onions cook, make the rue of butter, flour, salt & pepper and cook bubbling for 1 minute while warming the milk and half & half. Add the milk and cream to the bubbling rue stirring constantly. Cook on medium heat until sauce thickens and cook for one minute then turn off heat. Drain cooked onions and add to the cream sauce. Stir to coat onions and pour into baking dish. Bake 350º for 20-25 minutes.

Can be made the night before and baked or warmed the next day. Flavor enhances overnight.
