1/2 lb. butter or margarine
1 c. sugar
1 c. light brown sugar
3 eggs
1 t. vanilla
1 c. sour cream
3 c. flour
1 t. salt
1 t. baking soda
1 t. baking powder

Directions:
Directions:
Combine butter with sugars and slightly beaten eggs. Beat about 2 minutes @ medium speed with mixer. Add vanilla and sour cream, stir until blended. In a separate bowl, combine dry ingredients. Add dry ingredients to butter mixture and beat another minute. Drop by heaping teaspoonful onto ungreased cookie sheet bake at 375 for 8-10 minutes til light brown.
Cool cookies completely then spread creamy vanilla frosting on top. For holidays tint with food coloring, or sprinkle a small amount of flaked coconut on top with marachino cherry if desired.
