2 ½ C Flour
¾ tsp baking soda
¾ tsp baking powder
¾ tsp salt
1 heaping tsp of ginger
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp cloves
½ C butter/margarine
½ C vegetable oil
4 Tbs molasses
1 C brown sugar
1 egg (beaten)

Directions:
Directions:
Blend dry ingredients in a bowl: flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and spices then set aside.
Beat butter, oil, sugar and molasses together until creamy.
Add gently beaten egg.
Add dry ingredients and mix until incorporated (don’t overmix).
Drop by spoonfuls onto a cookie sheet.
Bake at 350º until done; edges are dry and you will see small cracks in the cookies. Let cool for 2 mins or so before moving from cookie sheet to a cooling rack.
