1 quart of sorghum
3 sticks of butter
1 1/2 pound of raisins
2 cups of nuts
1 tablespoon of cinnamon
1 1/2 teaspoons of nutmeg
1 1/2 teaspoons of ginger
3 cups of buttermilk
2 cups of brown sugar
1/4 cup of soda
4 pounds of flour

Mix all ingredients in large pan with hands until so stiff. Roll out, cut, bake until brown at 375°. Place in a large can cover with cloth. Place Apple on top of cloth. They get hard and soft.
