¼ cup butter
¼ cup sugar
½ cup molasses
½ teaspoon salt, optional
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1 teaspoon cinnamon
¼ teaspoon ground cloves
1 ½ cups whole wheat flour
1 tablespoon vinegar

Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter with sugar and molasses in small saucepan over low heat. Cool. Combine salt, soda, and spices with flour in bowl. Stir in butter mixture and add vinegar. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet. Bake 7 minutes in 350-degree oven.
