1 cup milk
6 Tbsp. flour
1/2 cup shortening
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 stick of butter
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Pour 1 cup of milk in saucepan, add 6 tablespoons of flour. Cook over medium heat, stirring until mixture is thickened.

Cool completely.

Add to cooled mixture 1/2 cup shortening, 1/2 cup sugar, stick of butter and teaspoon of vanilla.

Beat thoroughly until creamed and ready to spread on cake.

Place frosted cake in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
