1 lb. lean ground beef
16 Boston bibb or butter lettuce leaves
1 can (8oz., 5oz. drained) sliced water chestnuts
1 c. chopped yellow onion
2 T. minced garlic
1 T. soy sauce
1/4 c. hoisin sauce
2 tsp. bottled ginger
1 T. rice wine vinegar or red wine vinegar
1/2 tsp. red pepper flakes
3/4 c. sliced green onions
2 tsp. dark sesame oil

Directions:

Rinse lettuce leaves and dry on paper towels. Drain water chestnuts and finely chop.
Brown meat in skillet. Add garlic, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, ginger, vinegar and red pepper flakes while cooking the meat.
Add reserved water chestnuts and reduce heat to medium. Add 3/4 c. chopped green onions. Add sesame oil. Cook for 2 minutes longer.
Arrange lettuce leaves and pour meat mixture (about 1/4 c.) onto middle of each leaf. Wrap like a taco and eat.
