2 c. milk
1 tbsp. instant dry active yeast
2 eggs
⅔ c. shortening
4 tbsp. butter, melted
6½ c. all purpose flour
1 c. sugar
1 tbsp. cinnamon
1 c. raisins
pinch salt

Icing
2 c. powdered sugar
2 tbsp. butter, melted
2 tsp. vanilla extract
4 tbsp. milk

Preheat oven 350º
Dissolve yeast in small amount of warm water with 1 tsp. sugar and set aside. Scald milk (heat but don't boil). Let cool. Transfer milk to mixing bowl and combine yeast, eggs, shortening, sugar, flour and salt. Mix well. Cover bowl with towel and let dough rise 30-45 minutes. Roll dough out and brush with butter. Sprinkle with cinnamon, sugar and raisins. Roll and cut into slices using thread. Bake 12-15 min. Combine icing ingredients in small bowl until smooth. Pour over rolls.
