Ingredients:  
1/2 C. Soft margarine
1/4 C. Light brown sugar, packed
1 Egg yolk
1 tsp. Vanilla
1 C. Sifted all purpose flour
1 Egg white
1/2 C. Chopped pecans
Preserves (your choice)

Glaze
4 tsp. Confectioners sugar
2 tsp. Milk
Mix well and set aside
3 Tbsp. Preserves (your choice)

1. In a medium bowl beat butter, sugar, egg yolk and vanilla until smooth.
2. Stir in flour.
3. Refrigerate 30 minutes.
4. Preheat over 375 degrees.
5. Roll dough into balls.
6. On one bowl have beaten egg whites and in another the pecans.
7. Dip each ball into the egg mixture then into the nuts.
8. Lay on baking sheet and press thumb in the middle.
9. After baking fill with preserves (your choice) and top with glaze.
