½ cup butter
½ veg shortening (doesn't indicate cup but I'm assuming it is)
1 cup sugar
1 beaten egg
1 tsp vanilla
2 cups flour
½ tsp cream of tartar
½ tsp baking soda
¼. tsp salt
Directions:
Directions:
Mix together butter, shortening, sugar, egg and vanilla. Sift together flour, tartar, soda and salt and add to wet mixture.
Roll into balls and press with glass dipped in water.

Bake at 400º 6-8 mins til golden.

The glass only needs dipping in water once but must dipped in sugar for every cookie
