6 bananas, sliced
2 eggs
⅔ cup sugar
1 ½ cup. milk
1 T. butter
2 dozen vanilla wafers

Directions:
Directions:
Beat eggs, add sugar, milk, and butter. Place in double boiler and cook until thickened, custard consistency. Let cool. Place alternate layers of wafers, bananas, and think layer of custard (reserving most of it for the top) in serving dish. Repeat layers until all ingredients have been used. Chill and let stand for several hours before serving.
