2 pounds Jacob’s Cattle Beans
1 chopped onion
1 tsp salt
1 tsp dry mustard
½ cup packed brown sugar
½ cup maple syrup
¼ cup molasses

Directions:
Directions:
Clean and rinse 2 pounds Jacob’s Cattle Beans. Soak overnight in pot of cold water.

In the morning, parboil beans in the same water for 45 minutes to 1 hour.

Meanwhile, mix the following in a crockpot:
• 1 chopped onion
• 1 tsp salt
• 1 tsp dry mustard
• ½ cup packed brown sugar
• ½ cup maple syrup
• ¼ cup molasses

Spoon beans into crockpot and add the hot water until visible around the beans at the top. Mix carefully with wooden spoon. Place small piece of salt pork on top of beans. Cook on high until boiling, then on low for 6-8 hours.

Having a family New England Baked Beans recipe is really special! You could throw some baby back ribs on top of this recipe and cook in the crockpot (low) for 8-10 hours and I bet it would be SCRUMPTIOUS! It would make a perfect football Sunday meal!
