Jane’s Sugar Cookie

1 cup butter
1 1/2 cups sugar
3 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
3 1/2 cups flour
2 teaspoons cream of tartar
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt


Jane’s Cream Cheese Icing (DOUBLE)

3 ounces cream cheese, (I use 8 ounces, to double)
1/4 cup butter
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups powdered sugar

Jane’s Sugar Cookies

Mix together. Refrigerate overnight. Roll into balls. Bake on stone at 375 degrees for 8-10 minutes or until browned. It takes about 11-12 minutes.

Jane’s Cream Cheese Icing (Double)

Double recipe. Mix cream cheese, butter, and vanilla until light and fluffy. Gradually add powdered sugar until smooth. May color with food coloring, if you like.
