1 chiken cut up or 2 lb beef for stew
1 large onion, chopped
6 potatoes
vegetable oil
salt
pepper
paprika

Directions:
Directions:
Fry chopped onion in 2-3 tb oil with lots of paprika until golden brown. Add meat and stir for 10 minutes until all sides are browned. Add water to cover and bring to boil. Add 1.5 ts salt and pepper and simmer for 30 minutes on low heat. Meanwhile peel potatoes and cut each into eight pieces. Add to the boiling water for another 20-30 minutes or until soft.
Note: for beef it may take longer. Add the potatoes when beef is almost soft.
