1 lb hamburger (may use 1/2 lb beef and 1/2 lb sausage
1 c cornmeal
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
2 eggs
1 lg onion - chopped
3-4 jalapeno peppers - chopped (amount depends on your personal taste)
1 c grated cheddar cheese
1 c buttermilk or (1 c milk w/1 tsp lemon juice)
1 small can cream style corn

Directions:
Directions:
Brown meat and onions, drain. Mix together with remaining ingredients. Put in 9x13 pan that has been sprayed with Pam or in iron skillet that has been heated with oil. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes or until done.

add: green peppers and pimento if desired
