Ingredients: 8 oz package egg noodles 1 stick of butter 1 1/2 cups of milk 1/4 cup of flour 1/4 tsp pepper 1 tsp salt 2 1/2 cups chicken broth 4 cups diced cooked chicken

Directions: |
Directions:On stove, melt butter in pan. Whisk in flour, salt, and pepper. Add milk and cook until it thickens. You want the sauce to be creamy. You may need to add a TBS or 2 to the sauce if it is not thickening. Add noodles and chicken. Spread into a 9x13 baking dish. Cover and bake at 350 for 25 minutes. Crush about 1 cup of ritz crackers and 1 cup of cheddar cheese. (you can add extra of both) Sprinkle on top of casserole and bake about 10 minutes. Cheese should be melted and crust should be golden brown. |

Notes: This was my grandmother Bolton's recipe, Maude Bolton. She was my dad's mom. She won a blue ribbon at the county fair for this recipe. She would often cook this to have after church on Sunday. It is a family favorite.
