8 oz package egg noodles
1 stick of butter
1 1/2 cups of milk
1/4 cup of flour
1/4 tsp pepper
1 tsp salt
2 1/2 cups chicken broth
4 cups diced cooked chicken

Directions:
Directions:
On stove, melt butter in pan. Whisk in flour, salt, and pepper. Add milk and cook until it thickens. You want the sauce to be creamy. You may need to add a TBS or 2 to the sauce if it is not thickening. Add noodles and chicken. Spread into a 9x13 baking dish. Cover and bake at 350 for 25 minutes.
Crush about 1 cup of ritz crackers and 1 cup of cheddar cheese. (you can add extra of both) Sprinkle on top of casserole and bake about 10 minutes. Cheese should be melted and crust should be golden brown.

This was my grandmother Bolton's recipe, Maude Bolton. She was my dad's mom. She won a blue ribbon at the county fair for this recipe. She would often cook this to have after church on Sunday. It is a family favorite.
