Turkey Taco Lettuce Wraps Recipe

Ingredients: 2 lb 93% ground turkey 1 cup finely chopped yellow onion 4 cloves crushed garlic 1 tsp kosher salt 1 tsp black pepper 1 cup chicken broth (Better than Boullion) 1 TB chili powder 2 tsp cumin 1 tsp paprika Artisan romaine leaves (3-4 per person)
Slaw Shred a cup or two of fresh cabbage and squeeze the juice of half a lime, salt and pepper.

Directions:Preheat a large saute pan on medium while chopping onion. Saute the onion until soft about 5 minutes, adding a little water as needed to prevent burning.
Break up the turkey by hand and add to the onion. Season with salt & pepper. Stir and break up the meat with a metal spatula into small pieces. Add crushed garlic continue stirring and breaking up the meat.
Prep the cup of chicken broth. Add the 3 spices to the broth, stir and add the seasoned broth to the pan. Stir and cook just a few minutes longer to reduce the broth by about half.
Slice a cup of cabbage and season with lime salt & pepper. Serve in a pretty bowl.
Arrange the artisan romaine leaves on a pretty plate.
Serve with fresh guac, mango salsa, pico de gallo & shredded mex cheese. |
