3 cups sliced mushrooms
1 chopped onion
2 cloves garlic, minced
3 pounds boneless, skinless, chicken breasts
3/4 cup chicken broth
1 small can tomato paste
2 Tbls flour
2 tsp sugar
1/4 cup Merlot red wine
1 1/2 tsp dried basil
2 cups cooked noodles
2 Tbls parmesan cheese
salt and pepper to taste
Optional: add carrots, bell pepper or other vegetable

Combine first three ingredients in crockpot, add salt and pepper to taste. Arrange chicken breasts over vegetables. Combine broth and next 4 ingredients, add basil. Pour over chicken breasts. Cover and cook on low for 7 to 8 hours or high for 4 hours. Serve over noodles sprinkled with parmesan cheese.
