1 cup sugar
1 cup water
4 cucumbers peeled slice thin
1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
celery seed

Directions:
Directions:
In a large bowl, place prepared cucumbers in ice water with a little salt for 1-2 hours to make crispy. In a pot, cook water and sugar until clear, stirring constantly. Let cool. Add vinegar, oil, and lots of celery seed. Drain cucumbers, pat dry, and mix them with the vinegar mixture. Chill overnight.

Mom made cucumbers like this and I think she put some pepper and salt in them. Maybe some pickling spice. I think she used plain vinegar.
