Ingredients: 3½ cups of Soft White Wheat Flour milled and sifted 1 tsp salt (sift and add to flour) 1 tsp baking soda (sift soda add to flour) 1 cup brown sugar (optional: sucanat ) 1/2 cup sugar (optional: can use honey granules) 2 large eggs 2 tsp vanilla 1 cup of softened butter 2 cups Chocolate chips (Ghirardelli 60% Cacao chips) or bittersweet chocolate chips for less sugar. If you like them sweet then semi sweet chocolate chips.
NOTE - CONVERSION INFO.: For every one (1) cup of all-purpose flour called for you need to increase the soft white wheat flour by 1/2 a cup.

Directions:PREHEAT OVEN TO 350º - 12 to 15 minutes (want to pull out the cookies when they don’t look like they’re done yet - keeps them chewy). Bottom of cookie to be golden but still looking uncooked on top.
1) Sift flour, baking soda, and salt then mix together. 2) Mix and cream two sticks of butter with brown sugar and white sugar. 3) Add one egg at a time to the creamy mixture and the vanilla extract. 4) Add dry ingredients a little at a time to the wet ingredients using mixer. 5) Add the chocolate chips - reserve some to top the cookie with before baking. 6) Put parchment paper onto a cookie sheet. 7) What to have 3 tablespoons per cookie spaced about 2 inches apart. 8) Stick some chips on top of the cookie dough. |
