3 cups regular sugar
3 tablespoons cocoa
1/4 cup corn syrup
1 small can of evaporated milk
2 tablespoons of butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup of chopped pecans

Directions:
Directions:
Combine all ingredients together in a cast iron skillet. Cook until a soft ball stage (this is when you put a drop of candy in a cup of cold water and it forms a soft ball). Pour into a greased casserole dish. Let cool and cut into squares.

This is an old fashioned fudge recipe from my sweet mother. She is the only one that has ever been able to make it Perfectly every time! I have tried it several times and always get it too hard..
