2 c. boiling water
2 c. cornmeal
½ c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 egg
bacon grease
canola oil

Directions:
Directions:
Boil water and heat oil, we use several tbsp. bacon grease and enough canola oil for shallow frying. Mix cornmeal, flour and salt then add enough of the boiling water to make a thick paste. Stir well then add the egg and keep stirring. Drop by spoonful into the hot oil turning once to brown on both sides.
