2 cups sour cream
2 cups white sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp lemon juice
1 tsp vanilla
3 cups flour
3 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
a pinch of salt

Directions:
Directions:
In a mixing bowl mix together sour cream, sugar, eggs, lemon juice and vanilla. add flour baking powder baking soda and salt. Stir it with scraper, scraping sides of bowl often. Put ½ cup flour on kneading surface and scrape dough onto flour; sprinkle with flour sparingly and knead until smooth. Dough has to be as soft as can be handled but not too sticky. Roll out not too thin and cut into circles with an upside down Tumbler. Bake on top rack at 375°F for 8 minutes. Sour cream is not the store-bought kind if you don’t have farm cream add 1 tbsp vinegar to each cup of store whipping cream. Ice with pink icing. Makes 5 dozen cookies.
