4 cups yellow squash
1 small onion, minced
4 Tablespoons butter
salt and pepper to taste

Directions:
Directions:
1. Slice squash, put in heavy pot. Add small amount of water, onions, butter, salt, and pepper.
2. Cover and cook over low heat. Stir occasionally and make sure it is not sticking. Add small amounts of water, if necessary until squash is very mushy and pulp like.
3. Add more pepper until pretty peppery. Top with a pat of butter and serve.
