Night before:

1 c boiling water
1/4 sugar
1/4 c butter
1 package active dry yeast
1/2 tsp sugar
1 egg
3.5 c all-purpose flour

Next day:

3/4 c + 2 tbsp butter - softened
1/2 c sugar
3 tsp cinnamon
3/4 c butter
1 c firmly packed brown sugar
2 tbsp light corn syrup
1/2 c whole milk

Night before:

Mix and let cool boiling water, 1/4 c sugar and 1/4 c butter. Soften one package of yeast in 1/8 c warm water (approx 105 degrees) and 1/2 tsp sugar and let bloom for 10 minutes. Stir yeast into water, butter, sugar mixture while mixture still warm. Stir in flour. Let cool completely, then cover with a damp cloth and refrigerate overnight.

Next day:

Roll dough out to 14”x10” and spread with 2 tbsp butter. Mix 1/2 c sugar with 2 tsp cinnamon and sprinkle over. Roll up long way and slice into 3/4” widths.

Put 9x13 pan on top of stove. Melt 3/4 c butter slowly. Sprinkle in 1 c firmly packed brown sugar, 1 tsp cinnamon, 2 tbsp corn syrup and 1/8 c milk. Stir to combined. Lay rolls on bed of syrup, cover with tea towel, as set in warm spot to rise til the rolls double.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees and then bake for 30 minutes. Remove from oven, let cool for 10 minutes. Flip upside down on plate.

This recipe is from one of my insurance reps grandmothers. They are the best cinnamon rolls I have ever had. Only made once because I forgot I had the recipe; will be making again soon!
