1 cup butter
4 cups powdered sugar
4 to 6 T. whipping cream
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. coconut extract
1/2 tsp. almond extract
Gel food coloring (this type of coloring gives you the brightest color’s)

In a large bowl or stand mixer using the whisk attachment, beat butter until fluffy about 2-3 minutes. Scraping down side’s occasionally. Add half the powdered sugar, salt and 2 T. of the cream. Beating well and scraping down the sides. Add remaining powdered sugar, flavorings and 2 more tablespoons of cream, beat well. Add 1-2 more tablespoons of cream if needed. You want a nice light and fluffy icing. Add your coloring now, mix in well. You can separate frosting to make more than one color. Use pretty sprinkles on top to finish your decorating. You can also use decorating bags and tips to pipe out pretty designs onto your cookies.
