½ cup unsalted butter
½ cup light brown sugar
¼ cup granulated sugar
1 large egg
1½ tsp vanilla extract
½ tsp baking soda
¼ tsp baking powder
¼ tsp salt
1½ cups all purpose flour
1 cup chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350ºF
2. Place ½ cup of the chocolate chips in a plastic bag and use a rolling pin to break them down into small pieces.
3. Melt the butter until just melted.
4. Add in the white and brown sugars and use a spatula to stir until combined. Add in egg and vanilla, then mix. Next, add in baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Mix again. Add in flour and mix until all flour disappears into the dough.
5. Add all the chocolate chips into the dough and mix.
6. Immediately press into an 11.5" metal cookie pan. (round pan?)
7. Bake at 350ºF for 12 - 14 minutes. Do not overbake. Allow the cookie cake to cool completely before removing from the pan.
