3 cups AP flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp baking powder
3 cups white sugar
1 cup unsalted butter softened
6 large eggs
1 tbsp vanilla extract
1/4 tsp grd nutmjeg
1 cup sour cream
confectioner's sugar or as needed

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F Grease and flour a 10 inch fluted tube pan
Mix flour, salt, bakingsoda, and nutmeg in a boel; set aside
Beat sugar and butter with an electric mixer in a large bowl until light and fluffly,
about 5 minutes
Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in vanilla.
Ad flour mixture to wet ingredients alternately with sour cream, mixing until just incorperated.
Pour batter into prepared pan; use back of a spoon to smooth out the surface of batter.
Bake in preheated oven until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, about 1hour and 25 minutes. Run a thin knife or offset spatula around the edge of cake. cool in pan on wire rack for 20 minutes, then invert onto a wire rack and cool completely.

Dust with confectioner's sugar before serving.
